Easter Weekend Recap

Cosmos, cute fits, and Phillies hits—Easter weekend’s lookin’ eggstra fun

I am so happy to see you’re on the newsletter as I send out my first official letter!!

Happy Easter to all that celebrate! I had a great Easter weekend with my family and boyfriend. Last week was a whirlwind. I moved into my boyfriend’s (Zak) last weekend (April 12), so last week (week of April 14) was getting everything organized. Which is a big task in an already fully furnished home and combining 2 house-worth of things/furniture into one. So needless to say, I am very excited that’s over with and I’m all settled in. It means I was even more excited to see friends and family this past weekend.

On Friday…

Zak and I went out to dinner with our friends. We seriously had the best time! I knew it was going to be a late night so I really tried my best to stay out as late as possible and I made it until 11:30 pm… lol! For me, that’s great and I’m proud. But I can’t even tell you how HAPPY I was to be in bed, with his dog (that I informally adopted) Rookie (who I now call my dog because we are obsessed with each other), watching that cute new movie on Netflix The Life List. I watched all of 30 seconds of it before falling asleep, but from what I saw, super cute. But dinner was a lot of fun! We went to get Happy Hour drinks first, which by the way, my drink of choice is a Cosmo, who knew! I think I’ve learned it’s just an adult pink lemonade so maybe that’s why I like it so much.

Zak and Me at Almyra! (me and zak??? This is proof that I wrote this and not Chat GBT because I have no idea on the grammar of that).

Happy Hour was followed by a gorgeous dinner at 📍Dante and Luigi’s which is the best Italian food! I got the Gnocchi Romano and oh my god I am still dreaming about it. The night ended (for me) at Almyra which is a Mediterranean bar and restaurant that’s modeled after one of my favorite restaurants in Miami, Avra! It’s always fun to go there, the music is fun and I feel transported back to Miami every time.

Terrible photo, amazing gnocchi.

Weekend at the Jersey Shore

Nothing beats the shore, nothing! It was Zak and Rookie’s first time at my family’s shore house so I was super excited to show them my favorite spots. I wasn’t able to show everything since a lot of the businesses are winterized still, but Sea Isle is so small, one walk and you can see the whole island. On Saturday when we first arrived, my parents are kings and queens of Happy Hour, so they were on the porch drinking wine and watching the Phillies. We hungout for a bit then got ready for Dinner which was at one of my favorite spots, George’s Place. It’s Greek and has the best Greek Salad that comes with every entree. I got the salmon, it was amazing. I was soooo tired (shocker) and fell asleep on the couch as my Dad cultured Zak into what Phish was (if you don’t know, and I don’t blame you if you don’t, they’re a jam band).

Sunday Morning was a long 6 mile walk. It started with going to my favorite coffee shop, Shore Break, but they were closed. Sad. It’s worth the wait. We walked a good majority of the island, I was showing Zak my studios, the town, my favorite restaurant spots. It was a really fun walk! Everyone in town was heading to church for Easter Service, wearing their Sunday Best and gorgeous Easter Dresses, I just loved seeing it all.

My Studios, Stride Spin and Fitness, opens in less than 2 weeks, so we had a few errands to run down there to prep for soft-opening weekend (May 3!!). After that we hungout and took naps (I’m realizing I sleep a lot?), before it was time for the gorgeous feast my parents made! Maple glazed ham with pineapple casserole, cheesy potatoes, green beans, and key lime pie for dessert. Seriously insane, so good, and my FAVORITE meal! Well, second favorite. I love Thanksgiving food. I love holiday meals!

After dinner, we watched the Phillies lose in extra innings 🥲 then hit the road to drive home. I have to say, since moving to Philly it makes the drive to the shore a BREEZE! It’s seriously like a regular commute, I am so happy! Once we got home, I was sooooooooo behind on laundry (thanks to the move) so tried to get caught up as much as I could and saved the rest for tomorrow (today! thank you for that… past me…). So TODAY I am finishing the laundry, amongst other things which I will send out in tomorrow’s newsletter of my Weekly Reset 🫧

That’s all for now! Thank you for reading. If you think you know someone that would enjoy this newsletter, please send it to them and tell them to subscribe! It’s completely free and always will be.
